Mythbusters duo Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman will host an upcoming documentary on the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, reports Entertainment Weekly. The documentary, dubbed iGenius: How Steve Jobs Changed the World, has been commissioned by Discovery, and is being produced by NBC?s Peacock Productions.

While the choice of Savage and Hyneman may seem odd to some, it was reportedly their celebration of innovation and technology that won them the gig.

?Someone once said that to follow the path that others have laid before you is a very reasonable course of action, therefore all progress is made by unreasonable men,? Savage told EW. ?Steve Jobs was an unreasonable man. He didn?t simply give the public what they wanted, he defined entirely new ways of thinking about our lives in the digital space: productivity, creativity, music, communication, media and art. He has touched, directly and indirectly, all of our lives.?

The special documentary will include interviews with key people, including: Daniel Kottke, an early Apple employee who traveled with Jobs to India; John Draper (aka ?Captain Crunch?), a renowned computer engineer whose early phone hacking escapades inspired Jobs to start a career in computers; and musicians Stevie Wonder and Pete Wentz, who will reportedly talk about how Jobs inspired their music.

The documentary is set to air on Discovery on Sunday, October 16 at 8pm.

In addition to the Discovery special, Apple will also air its own video tribute to Jobs, reports 9to5Mac. Unfortunately for Apple fans, this one won?t be available to the public. Instead, the ?celebration? of Jobs will take place at the outdoor amphitheater on the Infinite Loop campus in Cupertino, California, according to a memo sent out to Apple employees by the company?s new chief executive, Tim Cook.
