UM Could Learn NCAA Allegations Soon

The 400-million dollar upgrade would make Sun Life a 1st class stadium for the next 30 years-but the team faces an uphill battle getting tax dollars to pay for improvements thanks to all the fallout from the new Marlins fish tank.

But this is a much different endeavor. The Dolphins pledge to put up a significant part of the price tag themselves-with owner Stephen Ross personally committing to 50-percent.

And the tax dollars aren't coming out of the pockets of local taxpayers. The public side of funding is expected to come from a hotel bed tax-with none of the funds taken out of city or county coffers.

The upgrades include adding a partial roof -lighting upgrades and a redesign of the seating configuration to at track big events like Super Bowl 50.
