Is the hulky actor Derek Ramsay?fighting the big C?
Reports have it that the ABS-CBN top actor apparently has been battling cancer but the actor branded the reports as mere rumors.
He said? he has not been diagnosed with cancer.?No, I?m fine. It?s actually the fist time I?ve heard that. No, I don?t have cancer. I hope not,? Derek said .
Derek, however, admitted that? his knees? were hurting.
?My knees, yun yung masakit sa?kin. They feel healthy and nanalo kami sa last tournament sa Davao,? Derek added.
Derek was rushed to?the hospital?during the Holy Week after he was attacked by jellyfish in La Union, according to an ABS-CBN report.
Derel saod je suspected that this might have been misconstrued as being diagnosed with cancer.
He was also said to have had difficulty settling his hospital bills. ?No. I was stung by jellyfish. Tapos, nadagdagan pa daw na hindi ko mabayaran ang hospital bills ko. It?s true that over holy week I was attacked by jellyfish in La Union,? Derek clarified.
Prompted by the baseless rumor, Derek joked, ?Yeah, marami yung maliliit so whole body is covered. Baka doon din nanggaling yung cancer.?
The actor revealed that he went to the hospital to treat the itchiness and bought medicines and stayed there for less than ten minutes.
In the past, Derek has been involved with controversies such as his break-up rumors with girlfriend?Angelica Panganiban?and allegedly dating Sexbomb dancer Aifah Medina.
The actor said that this health issue has hurt him more.
?That one actually, to tell you the truth, yung mga ibang issue sa akin, hindi ako naapekto pero that one kinda?hurts, na I have the big C which is the number one killer for everybody nowadays. And it?s kinda insulting. It kinda hurts na somebody would say such a thing about anybody. Sana tigilan nyo na rin kase nasasaktan na rin kami,? Derek disclosed.
