No Justice for Trayvon Martin: Twitter Reactions to George Zimmerman Not Guilty Verdict

VIBE Posted July 14, 2013
On Saturday, July 13, George Zimmerman was found not guilty of second-degree murder in the killing of Trayvon Martin, even though he blatantly said he shot the unarmed teen, albeit in self-defense.

America expressed their shock on Twitter. Celebrities from Rihanna to A-Trak to Mac Miller to Ice Cube to Jennifer Hudson shared their feelings on the social media site as hashtags like #NoJustice and #RipTrayvonMartin began trending.

Rev. Al Sharpton called Zimmerman's acquittal "a slap in the face to the American people," while others sent their prayers to Martin's family. Check out reactions to Zimmerman being a free man in the gallery that follows.
