iBall has introduced two identical handsets that go by the names of Andi 5Li and 5L in India in the mid-range market for a budget-friendly price. The devices are yet to go up for sale, but the latter has already been listed on an online retailer and is said to be arriving soon.
The iBall Andi 5Li is slightly better than its sibling and operates with the assistance of the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS. The responsibility of keeping this device charged for a long period of time has been assigned to a 2000mAh battery and unlike its counterpart, the device in question is not bundled with a stylus.
Packed with a digitizer for facilitating smooth navigation, the second handset treats itself to a generous scoop of the Ice Cream Sandwich platform, version 4.0.4 to be precise. And as far as the battery is concerned, it has to make do with a 1800mAh power pack, unlike the former gadget which gets one with a capacity of 2000mAh.
Both the dual SIM phones flaunt a 5-inch WVGA multi-touch display of 480 x 800p resolution. This screen is accompanied by a VGA front-facing webcam and can be used for the purpose of making video calls over a 3G or a Wi-Fi connection. And for photography enthusiasts, the company has added an 8MP snapper on the rear side, complete with features like LED flash, auto focus, digital zoom and a video recorder amongst others.
They should enable customers to launch more than a single application, thanks to a dual core Cortex A9 chipset that processes at a maximum speed of 1GHz. There?s 512MB of RAM to help the chip and the devices arrive with 4GB of internal memory in tow. And for those who require additional storage to hoard their digital content, both phones have been fitted with an expansion slot which supports a microSD card of up to 32GB capacity.
The iBall Andi 5Li and 5L are all set to go up for sale in India and according to the company?s web portal, they will be available for a price of Rs. 12,999, each. These handsets are backed by a one-year warranty and come with a protective flip cover.
