- "Don't Ever Let Nobody Drag Your Spirit Down"
Acoustic blues artist Eric Bibb's encore Mountain Stage performance was recorded in 2007 in support of his Telarc release Diamond Days.
The son of renowned New York City folk singer Leon Bibb, Eric spent his childhood rubbing elbows with legends Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan. Launching his career in Europe, Bibb gained notoriety at blues and folk festivals in London, Cambridge and Dublin before eventually settling in Sweden and then Finland.
Deftly blending blues, gospel and soul, Bibb has been nominated for a Grammy and four Blues Music Awards (formerly W.C.Handy). Prolific both on the road and in the studio, Bibb has released five more albums since his 2007 appearance, the most recent being Booker's Guitar and a live set, Troubadour Live.
Bibb kicks off his Mountain Stage performance with his interpretation of Guy Clark's song "The Cape."
